At St Francis we seek to be an open and welcoming Church to all.
Every age is represented in our Church Family and everyone matters.
Our Sunday Service is at 10 am and all are welcome. We sing well known hymns, pray, hear and think about stories from the Bible, and share the bread and wine of the Eucharist as our thanksgiving to God. The service lasts for an hour and is followed by refreshments in the hall.
We have ramp access to the Church and toilets.
For children and young families we seek to make our worship friendly and fun every week but on 2 Sundays in the months families can feel especially comfortable in Church.
First Sunday of the month – Family Service
There is a “lighter touch” to our worship and all children and young people are encouraged to stay in the service and participate. The address is aimed at our children – although we can all learn something from it – often with a smile on our face.
Third Sunday of the month – B’uzz (Sunday School)
A traditional Sunday School in our hall with stories, activities, games, craft and prayer organised and run by members of our Church family whose own children attend. A parent or guardian must stay in Sunday School with their children, but everyone re-joins the Service towards the end so that the children (and anyone else who wants to) can receive a Blessing and show their work to the whole Church Family.
On other Sundays there are Activity Sheets for children and it is possible for parents to take their children into the hall at any time.
